Abstract

Final Writing aims to obtain a more in-depth description and understanding of export payment system related to payment mechanism with Letter of Credit (L / C) and Non Letter of Credit and how the responsibility of exporters in case of deviation (discrepancies) in the delivery of goods by CV DOLLAR FURNITURE Group in Klaten. This research uses dsikriptif method where the process is done gradually, starting from planning and design research, data collection, analysis, and presentation of research results. Based on the research results can be concluded that the payment system used in CV DOLLAR FURNITURE Group is two by using Letter of Credit (L / C) and Non Letter of Credit (Open Account). Excellence using Letter of Credit for CV DOLLAR FURNITURE Group is able to minimize the risk if only the goods are not paid by the importer, while the weaknesses are in the time and cost, where the process of payment by L / C takes time not quickly in the settlement and requires additional fees charged by the bank. While the benefits of using open account payment is acceptable quickly by CV DOLLAR FURNITURE Group, while the weakness is the risk of not paying goods that have been sent or telatnya payment given by the importer. The results of this study indicate that: (i) the legal arrangement of Letter of Credit is found in Uniform Custom and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP-DC 600) and Indonesian law, especially Government Regulation No. 1/1982 on the Implementation of Export and Foreign Exchange Exports, which regulates export-import activities; (ii) the mechanism for issuance and disbursement of L / Cs is regulated in UCP-600 by consistently involving bank's Issuing and Advissing Bank; (iii) legal protection against importers and exporters on the use of L / C is optimal due to certainty of payment and certainty of agreed product.
