Abstract

The objectives of the article are to (1) describe any speech acts that occurs within the distance of speech acts among the students of PPMI Assalaam with pragmatic of gender perspective studies (2) to describe the proxemics structure among the students of PPMI Assalaam with pragmatic of gender perspective studies (3) to describe the relationship between the content of the speech with a distance-speaking zone among the students of PPMI Assalaam with pragmatic study of gender perspective. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research are students (santri ) and teachers (ustadz). The object of this study is the distance of speech acts among the students of The Modern Boarding School Islam Assalaam Surakarta: with pragmatic study of gender perspective. The data of this study are space and distance in the speech acts between (Pn) and (Mt) among the students of The Modern Boarding School Islam Assalaam Surakarta. The technique of collecting data using the noticing method used to observe the distance and conversation forms. Furthermore, it used the techniques of record and documentation. The forms of the distance of the speech acts observed are the ones containing the distance of the speech acts among the students of The Modern Boarding School Islam Assalaam Surakarta with pragmatic study of gender perspective. The results of the study show (1) the form of speech acts that occurs within the range of speech, where from 15 data the researcher can show the act of place and the type of action of the illocution (2) the spacing structure with the zone packaged in gender indicates the structure (UL-S.Pa ), (UL-S.Pi), (UP-S.Pi) indicate the dominant intimate zones arising from 28 data that the researcher took (3) the relationship of speech content with the zone based on gender shows the most dominant intimate zones arising out of 15 from data in the form of speech actc content based on the gender.
