Abstract

ABSTRACT Spiritual experience is an event or event experienced by man in spiritual matters in which event or event is beyond the ability of the individual itself. Spiritual experience is an increase in the individual's faith in his god for what he has experienced. And the experience of th is spirituality provides an overview of how the individual interpret the meaning and purpose of his life. Tarekat syadziliyyah is one of the various tarekat that exist in Indonesia. The congregation does not only have a religious function. But it is also a nother way for a person to seek spiritual strength and mental energy. The purpose of this research is to know the spiritual experience of Syadziliyyah congregation. The research method used is by using qualitative method of in - depth interview on the subjec t. The data were collected by interviewing 5 informants who became pilgrims of tarekat syadziliyyah. The results showed that the congregation of tarekat syadziliyyah has a spiritual experience that is able to make informants more able to m anage his life and able to make informants get peace and tranquility in his life, it is in can from the many activities and the practice that is done by the pilgrims.
