Abstract

Islamic religious education is seen as very important. Therefore, religious education is expressed as a compulsory curriculum that must be taught in all pathways and levels of education from elementary school to university. In this regard, children with special needs need to learn about the religion of Islam so that they know their identity as a Muslim. The importance of instilling Islamic religious values in children with special needs in order to help prepare them to be able to live independently in society and be able to realize the nature as a Muslim. Based on that, then the formulation of the problem in this research is how the role of parents in instilling Islamic religious values to children with autism, and what methods parents do in instilling Islamic religious values to children with autism in the family? This study aims to describe the role of parents and methods of parents in instilling Islamic religious values to autistic children in the family. This research is a field research with qualitative descriptive approach. Sebjek this research is the role of parents in instilling Islamic religious values to children with autism in families taken with field reseach. Methods of data collection in this study using interviews and documentation. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative, the data obtained then poured in the form of words and pictures, then described so as to provide clarity of realistic reality. The results of this study found that parents are the first personal coaching in a child's life. Religious education is the main education, is needed for children with autism. Where it directly affects the behavior and development of children. Religious education in children with autism is the beginning of the formation of personality, good or bad personality depends on the child's parents and the environment that nurtures him. Methods that parents give to children with autism in the family is by exemplary methods, habituation, and advice.
