Abstract
Education is a very basic need for human life. Education plays an important role in the survival of human life to become better. Education consists of several components in it, one of the components that play a very important role in education is the teacher. Teachers play a major role in the development of education, especially those organized in formal schools. Researchers conducted research on the upper classes of the Bengawan Solo School of Nature but were only able to conduct their research in class III and IV schools with a curriculum linked to natural themes and project-based learning. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, obstacles and solutions in the implementation of integrative thematic learning. This type of research is qualitative, data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction measures, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity checking is done by triangulation technique and source triangulation. The result of the research shows that: (1) Learning planning in Bengawan Solo Nature School makes the theme itself is big theme / spider webs, and small theme / daily plan that is the theme that has been specified based on deliberation, every one big theme can be for 2 month of learning or 8 small themes. (2) The implementation of integrative thematic learning in class III takes place with individual projects by making wall hangings, and class IV takes place with group projects making woven bamboo. (3) Evaluation of teachers and heads of schools is done periodically, evaluation with students is done routinely at the end of learning. (4) the teacher's effort to overcome the problem of time that is putting the lesson in the top saung, for the problem of students who pessimistic teachers invite students with teachers to do the same, and guardians who are still indifferent with teacher education students trying to establish rapport and always remind guardian of students to always accompany students while studying at home.
