Abstract
ABSTRACT This research has two objectives (1) Finding classification of place description on sentence in tourism-themed articles in print media, print media, (2) Innovating instructional material of descriptive text by utilizing research result at learning of junior high school class VII. The research method used qualitative method. Data collection in this research using two techniques, namely: techniques refer and note technique. Method of data analysis in this research is method of agih. The result of the research was found (1) place description in the form of regency and province a number of 4 information, (2) description of place in the form of district of 2 information, (3) description of place of hamlet and province number 1 description, (4) , (5) a description of the place in the form of a village of 5 information, (6) a description of the place of the village, districts, and district a total of 4 information, (7) a description of the place of a village and a district of 1 description, (8) (11) place description of hamlet and districts in the form of 1 information, (12) description of place in the form of sub-district number 1 information, (13) description of the place of the hill a number of information and made as an innovative teaching materials descriptive text of the text in SMP class VII semester 1 KD 3. 1 Understanding descriptive responsive text both through oral and written.
