Abstract

Sub Watershed Samin is upstream Watershed Bengawan Solo entry into priority watershed being restored because it is considered criticcal watershed. This study aims to determine the critical level of land on Samin sub watershed. Sub watershed that needs to be maintained in order to maintain the balance of watershed ecosystem in the middle and downstream which always have relevance in order to protect the ecosystem of living things in it, so it needs to keep the ecosystem Watershed awake and need to know the land conservation technique. Data processing with geographic information systems that produce output in the form of a map of the critical level of land in the subzone Samin in three regions, namely the farm area, protected forest areas and protected forests in outside forest areas. Sampling technique in use is purposive sampeling and The GIS analysis technique used is scoring criticality parameters using the stepwise method weighted by overlaying each parameter of critical land and classification under the rules of the Directorate General of Watershed Management and Social Forestry in 2013. For mapping the critical level of land uses five main parameters they are slope, land cover, agricultural land productivity, land management, and erosion on three different regions. The results for the mapping of critical land subzone Samin shows that critical land in the protected areas have a very critical class distribution area of 0,0001 hectares, an area of 23.051 hectares critical class, the rather critical class area of 898,521 hectares, covering the critical potential class 1.349,989 hectares with the largest percentage of land criticality is a rather critical class. Critical land in the farm area has a very critical class distribution area of 2.234,81 hectares, critical class area of 16.090,15 hectares, rather critical class area of 11.977,73 hectares, covering the critical potential class 1274,56 hectares, non critical class area of 164,56 hectares. Critical land in protected forest areas outside the forest area has a spread of classes is very critical area of 0,007 hectares, the critical class area of 1.941 hectares, rather critical class area of 45,175 hectares, the class of potential critical area of 72,175 hectares, the class of non critical area of 14,044 hectares. Alternative land management conducted by the government by making a permanent nursery and breeding, in certain areas has been made wells absorption, and gully plug, while the community to manage by giving fertilizer to agricultural land, planting with intercropping methods and livestock serion to prevent erosion.
