Abstract
Background: Posyandu is one form of health effort that requires strong support from various parties. This form of support and cooperation with various parties can be seen from the many visits of Posyandu targets that describe the participation level of the community (D / S) with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) 85%. D / S coverage in 2015 of Salatiga City is 77.7%. Many things that affect the level of achievement of community participation in posyandu include education level, level of knowledge, economic and socio-cultural factors. The most dominant factor of influence is the level of education and knowledge of the mother. Objective: To find out the correlation between education level and mother's knowledge about posyandu with participation level at Posyandu Orchid VII Sidorejo Lor District Sidorejo Sub-district Salatiga City. Method: This was an observational study with cross sectional design. The subjects of the research were the mother of children under 6 - 59 months registered in Posyandu Orchid VII of Sidorejo Lor Sub-district Sidorejo Subdistrict of Salatiga City with 69 people with simple random sampling technique. Data on the level of education and knowledge about posyandu were obtained from the answers of the distributed questionnaires. Participation level data is obtained from Healthy Card Chart (KMS) of toddlers. The analysis of relationship test used is Chi Square. Results: The level of subject education in the upper middle category was 78.3%. Knowledge level in good category is 78,3%. There is no correlation between level of education with participation level at posyandu, p value = 0,458 (p> 0,05). There is a correlation between mother's knowledge level about posyandu with participation level at posyandu, p value = 0,028 (p <0,05). Conclusion: There is no correlation between education level and participation level in posyandu. There is a correlation between mother's knowledge level about posyandu with participation level at posyandu.
