Abstract

Electricity is the main source of energy required by the people to meet the needs of life. As the era progresses, the human need for electric energy also increases automatically, therefore the provider of electricity is required to meet the people's need for electric power. The amount of power losses during the transmission process must be calculated and anticipated, resulting in the amount of power losses within tolerable limits. The loss of power during the process of electrical energy distribution is caused by the total resistance contained in the conductor. This analysis is done on the transmission line of 150 Kv Palur substation - Gondangrejo substation by conducting literature studies around the power losses and voltage drop, then the retrieval of data in Palur substations and Gondangrejo substations for calculation and analysis. The power losses and the voltage drop is directly proportional to the current flowing on the network and the distance. The biggest loss of power during the month of February 2017 occurred on February 28th, reaching 10134 kW, and the smallest power losses during February of 2017 occurred on February 15th which is 1045 Kw. Keyword: Electricity, PLN, Power Losses, Voltage Drop.
