Abstract

Character education in HizbulWathan'sExtracurricular program as a cultivation of moral values in habituation. Character in question is moral / morals to be used as a habit of self in behave and behave as citizens of society with noble character. Character education is an effort to guide students' behavior to know, love, and do good. His focus on the moral process through the process of deepening, appreciation and habituation. School coaching activities organized by the school is one of the potential media for character education and academic quality improvement of the corresponding learners. The application of HizbulWathan's extracurricular program is expected to contribute to the formation of character education. Based on this background, this study aims to determine the process of execution of HizbulWathan Extracurricular and what character is developed in HizbulWathan Extracurricular in SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK. This research is field research with qualitative description approach. This research is obtained by observation, interview and documentation which then the data is analyzed. Based on the data of research results can be concluded that the process of extracurricular training HizbulWathan this activity held members of class VII and class VIII and held every Friday at 13.00-14.00. The series of activities that must be undertaken as a member of the Training, Diksar, routine latiahan, exams rise and deliberation of the council of troops. HizbulWathan's extracurricular learning process through educational triptosis that is family, school and society. Where the most dominant role in the family environment.Extracurricular program in school only as continuity of learning by learner because the time is limited. Character education developed in the extracurricular HizbulWathan at SMP Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar PK is honest, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, love the homeland, friendly / communicative, caring environment, social care and responsibility.
