Abstract
Batik Cap Oguud is batik manufacturers who produce batik cap mostly kenyuk smok coloring techniques. The process of batik production is still traditional or still using human power. Based on field observations, most workers do activities with awkward postures, such as on the activity of the smok, coloring, and fabric by folding postures squatting position with your back leaning forward in quite a long time. If the activity is performed with the awkward posture thus can lead to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and can decrease the productivity of work. Based on the problems of this activities with awkward postures (not natural), it required the evaluation of Musculoskeletal Diorders using Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire to find out the level of workers’ musculoskeletal complaints and Baseline Risk Identification of Ergonomic Factor (BRIEF) Surveys in the form of an assessment of the level of risk of ergonomics at work activities in 9 of 18 work stations. The results of the research obtained the highest level of complaints that the MSDs by category of right shoulder pain is 54.5%, right hand is 54.5%, and the left calf is 45.5%. The results for the highest level of ergonomics risks on the activity of the smok, pewiruan fabric, and folding the fabric with a score of 3. The necessary improvements on those activities is the elbow, shoulder, neck, back, and legs. After a simulated repair posture and the addition of tools with CATIA, score on ergonomics risk levels has decreased the activity of activity i.e. smok originally 3 to 1, pewiruan fabric originally 3 to 1, and folding fabric originally 3 to 0.
