Abstract
Water is the main resource for humans and other living beings. The availability of water in the earth is very abundant, so people have to make utilizing of it. The objective of performance evaluation of sediment trap and primary drains of Notog dam is to know the flow of water in the channel, evaluate the capacity of sediment trap at Notog dam and the primary channel dimension so that the irrigation needs in the area is fulfilled. The methods used for discharge calculations are Mock method, Penman method and other methods. This study uses secondary data in the form of monthly rainfall data, recorded discharge data, and building dimension obtained from BalaiBesarPemali Comal right on the tributary. Furthermore, the data are analyzed using the related methods, so that the value of channel flow, dependable discharge, water availability, etc are obtained. By calculating the analysis and parameters, where the reliable discharge (Q Reliability) must be greater than the water demand (Qwater.demand). From the result of the research, the performance evaluation of sediment trap and the Notog weir channel are as follow maximum discharge of 69.844 m3 / dt, the discharge that can be distributed in primary channel of 53.127 m3/dt and the irrigated field water demand of 44.272 m3/dt. For calculation the dimensions of sediment trap size, the width (B) = 15 m, length (L) = 688m, Water depth when the sediment bag is almost full (Hn) = 2.95 m, water depth when empty sediment bag (Hs) = 1.93 m and the data in the field of sediment trap dimension is B = 15 m, L = 800 m, Hn = 3,10 m, Hs = 2,09 m. For primary channel dimensions ie width (B) = 17 m, and height (h) = 2.906 m. While data in the field that is wide (B) = 17 m, and height (h) =3.10 m. So that the dimensions of the sediment trap and the primary canal are sufficient. Keywords: Notog dam, dependable discharge, water requirement.
