Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enhance student’s activeness using education method Discovery Learning for students in XI Social Science 3 class, National Madrasah Aliyah of Purwodadi 2016/2017. The kind of this education is study to class action which has been do in 2 cycles. The subject of this study is teacher who give the action and the receiver is students in XI Social Science 3 class, National Madrasah Aliyah of Purwodadi. The method that used to compile the data are interview, observations, documentations. Analysis techniques which is used are analytics data, presentation and verivication. The result of study showed there are enhancement activeness of studentsin economics education that can be seen from these indicators 1) Participate in carrying outtheir learning tasks before teaction 34,28% and final action before 85,71%, 2) Involved in problem solving before theaction 28,57% and the final action become 88,57% 3) Ask students or teachers before make an action 22,85% and the final action become 88,57% 4) Trying to find the various information needed before action 82,85% and the final action become 82,85% 5) Conducting group discussions in accordance with the teacher’s instructions before action 17,14% and the final action become 77,14%, 6) Assess his ability and results obtained before make an action 22,85% and final action become 85,71%, 7) Train yourself in solving problems or similar problems before make an action 31,42% and final action become 91,42%, 8) Te opportunity to use or apply what has been obtained before action 34,28% and final action become 88,57%. Based on the data we can conclude that application mehod Discovery Learning can enhance student’s activeness in study.
