Abstract
GROWTH OF MISELIUM SEEDS F2 OYSTER MUSHROOMS (Pleurotus ostreatus) AND STRAW MUSHROOM (Volvariella volvaceae) IN MEDIA IMPERATA GRASS AND SUGAR CANE Fitriani, A420130024, Study Program of Biology Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Agustus 2017. The mycelium is a collection of fungal hyphae that lives on the organism, thus requiring other organisms to obtain needed nutrients such as cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin and nutrients. Imperata grass and bagasse can be used as a medium of mushroom mycelium growth.This study aims to determine the length of mycelium, spreading and thickness of mycelium seeds F2 oyster mushroom and mushroom merang grown on medium Imperata grass and bagasse. The method used in this study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with two factorials and two repetitions. The first factor is the treatment of medium Imperata grass and bagasse while the second factor is oyster mushroom and mushroom. Result of research of growth of mycelium of F2 mushroom oyster mushroom and fungus mushroom can be concluded that at growth of mycelium seeds F2 oyster mushroom and mushroom highest in medium of oyster mushroom bagasse 9 cm length with thin spreading and thickness grow uneven, while the result of growth of mycelium Seeds F2 oyster mushrooms and mushrooms lowest in medium medium bagasse mushroom with a length of 5 cm and the spread is still the same meeting for its thickness grows evenly
