Abstract

The use of banana bunch and coconut fibers as medium of mycelium F2 seeds growth of oyster mushroom and straw mushroom. Lime serves to regulate the PH of mushroom growth medium. The study was to know the growth of mycelium F2 seeds of oyster mushroom and straw mushroom that grown in the medium of coconut fibers and of banana bunch. This research used the experimental method by using completely random design (CRD) factorial pattern that divided into two factors. Factor 1, medium : M1 (100g of banana bunch), M2 (100 g of Coconut fibers). Factor 2, F1 seeds : J1 ( F1 seeds for oyster mushroom), J2 (F1 seeds for straw mushroom). The parameters measured were the length, the dispersion, and the thicknesses of mycelium growth. The data was analyzed by using quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the speed, density, and thickness of mycelium, the fastest growth occurred on oyster mushroom that used the of banana bunch. it was 8.9 cm, tight and thick, and it grew bushy while the slowest mycelium growth in oyster mushroom with the medium of coconut fiber was 2.5 cm, tightly thin form, and it grew thin uneven.
