Abstract

This study aims to plan the scheduling of tanning product distribution activity in accordance with its inventory capacity for product demand so as to reduce distribution cost in a company with method of Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP). The current distribution system in UD.Rohmat has not been able to provide an overview or demand planning in the future, so product demand can not be controlled and not in accordance with market demand resulting in excess or even shortage of products at the agent level. The results of the research indicate that the planning of the distribution of leather products from the company to the agent using a one-time delivery system, namely the delivery of products only to one agent using the maximum capacity of a fleet. By using the DRP method there is less distribution cost expenditure than using the method of the company used now. Distribution fee with DRP method of Rp. 46.903.000,00 while distribution cost with method from company equal to Rp. 64.418.000,00. This means that the DRP method can reduce the distribution cost by 27.189%, DRP method can be used UD.Rohmat to save distribution costs. Keywords : Distribution, DRP, Inventory, UD.Rohmat
