Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning creativity by implementing Discovery Learning strategy. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study are teachers who provide action and the recipients of the action are students of class VIII.PK.3 MTs N 1 Surakarta which amounted to 24 students. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, field notes and documentation. Data analysis technique used is data analysis process, data presentation, and data verification. The result of the research shows that there is an increase of students' learning creativity in learning Integrated IPS which can be seen from the indicator, that is: 1) 1) Having great curiosity before action 29,16% and at end of action become 83,33%, , 2) give idea and suggestion To a problem before action 20,83% and at the end of action become 87,50%, 3) able to express opinion spontaneously and not shy before action 37,50% and at end of action become 83,33%, 4) have Own opinions and not affected others before the action of 25.00% and at the end of the action to be 87.50%, 5) Be able to propose thoughts, different troubleshooting ideas from others before action 29.16% and at the end of the action to be 83, 33%. So it is concluded that the use of the implementation of Discovery Learning strategy can improve students' learning creativity on the subjects IPS Integrated students class VIII.PK.3 MTs N 1 Surakarta .
