Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus is a disease characterized by hyperglycemia. In the DM disease examination of blood sugar levels are needed to be able to determine the type of treatment as well as diet modification. Diabetes mellitus patients who have regular blood sugar control will have a better quality of life and will have a very low risk of complications. At this examination is very necessary family role. This study aims to determine the relationship level of support and family knowledge with the level of blood sugar control compliance in people with diabetes mellitus. Quantitative research type, descriptive correlative research design, cross sectional approach. Independent variable is support and knowledge of family of diabetes melitus. Dependent variable compliance control blood sugar diabetus patients. The population is all patients with diabetes mellitus in the Working Area of Jayengan City Health Center Surakarta as many as 487 people. Determination of the number of samples using slovin formula and sampling random sampling technique, the number of samples of 83 respondents.Measuring tool with questionnaire.Analysis of data with univariate and bivariate with chi square. The results showed that families with diabetes melitus in Jayengan Community Health Center Area the majority of good family support, knowledge of diabetes millitus sufferers are mostly good. Compliance of patient's blood sugar control is mostly good. There is a relationship between family support with the level of blood sugar control compliance in people with diabetes melitus In the Working Area Puskesmas Jayengan p value 0,003 <0,05. There is a relationship between family knowledge with the level of blood sugar control compliance in people with diabetes melitus In the Working Area of Jayengan Health Center value p value 0.001 <0.05, The results of the study into the importance of.
