Abstract

The researcher found that some contemporary researchers did some mistakes in modern research of contemporary problems. It was happening because they were not the follower of a mazhab, or the followers of mazhab but did not understand the mazhab itself. This phenomenon happened also in mazhab Shafi’i. This is why the researcher focusing on revised these mistakes by Shafi’iyyah. This research focus on three main things: 1) what methods used by Shafi’iyyah in doing takhrij? 2) what references used by Shafiiyyah in doing the takhrij? 3) how to applicate the takhrij theories on contemporary problems? After conducting the research through some literatures, the researcher concluded that 1) determined methods used by Shafi’iyyah in takhrij 2) the activity of takhrij 3) determined main references on takhrij activity, and 4) justify the theory used to answer contemporary problems.
