Abstract

Guidance and counseling is a process of help or help given by counselor (counselor) to the individual (counselee) through face-to-face meetings or mutual relations between the two. This study aims to describe: (1) to describe the implementation of counseling and guidance services in overcoming reading difficulties in second grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta, (2) to describe factors of reading difficulties in second grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta (3 ) Describes the obstacles and implementation solutions of guidance and counseling services in overcoming reading difficulties in second grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta. This type of research is a qualitative study with a single case study design. Technique of collecting data by interview, observation and documentation. Data technique is analyzed through Interactive. Technique examination of data validity by technique triangulation method and source. The results showed that (1) the implementation of counseling and guidance services in overcoming the reading difficulties of second grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta include (a) teacher guidance and counseling service at SD Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta for BK teacher alone, Class teachers and religious teachers. (B) the types of services used in overcoming learning difficulties in reading students: Individual / individual counseling services, group guidance services (2) reading difficulties factors in grade II students of Muhammadiyah 10 Tipes Surakarta include factors from within and from outside students (C) Problem of students reading difficulties are: mentioning letters, reading the beginning, repeating sentences. (3) Obstacles experienced by students in learning difficulties to read the lack of attention of students in learning, students to play alone or with friends sebangkunya. Solutions to overcome students who have difficulty learning to read that students are given guidance and counseling time home school / additional hours and tutoring outside school.
