Abstract

The objectives of this study are to find out: 1) the level of Senior High School economics teachers’ personality competence in Surakarta; 2) the level of Senior High School economics teachers’ social competence in Surakarta. The design of this study is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study are Senior High School economics teachers in Surakarta. The techniques of collecting data are interview, documents, and supported with questionnaire. The data is analyzed through seceral steps such as data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusion. The techniques of data validation are technique triangulation and source triangulation. The findings of the study show that 93,74% for economics teachers’ personality competence and 91,38% for economics teachers’ social competence. It means he findings above show that Senior High School economics teachers in Surakarta have good competence in their social and personality competences. It show that the economics teachers fulfill all indicators of social and personality competences. Besides, the interview result show that economics teachers in Surakarta have fulfill competences indicators in their daily life.
