Abstract

Background: Contracepstion is a devive or drug to prevent the pregnancy that contain esterogen or progesterone, contraception of injection user’s complain melasma. Melasma is hyperpigmentation spotted that find in face area, both of check, forehead, chin, top of lip, and can spread to neck. Purpose: To know corellation between the injection hormonal contraception with melasma to women in Grogol Sukoharjo. Method: This study used observational analytic with cross-sectional approachment, was conducted in November until December 2016. The number of subject is 60 subject with purposive non random sampling technique. Data were colected by questionnaire. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square Test. Result: Based on Chi Square test were acquired the correlation value (r = 0,503). The result shows there was strong enough corellation between injection hormonal contraception with melasma to women in Grogol Sukoharjo, the value of (p < 0,000) show shighly significant relation. Conclussion: There was significant relationship between injection hormonal contraception with melasma.
