Abstract
This study aimed to describe 1. The role of classroom teachers in implementing Guidance Counseling, 2. Guidance Counseling Forms done by teachers, 3. constraints faced by classroom teachers in the implementation of the Guidance Counseling, 4. Efforts to classroom teachers in the implementation of the Guidance Counseling in SD Muhammadiyah 13 Surakarta. The research is a qualitative research. The technique of collecting data using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques through interactive analysis. The results showed that: 1. The role of classroom teachers in implementing counseling guidance is a. Classroom teachers understand the characteristics and abilities of each student, b) Assist students in solving problems, c) Teach social behavior and social skills, d) Assist students in developing the discipline of learning. 2. Counseling guidance forms conducted by classroom teachers in carrying out Guidance and Counseling, include, a. personal guidance, social counseling, tutoring, and career guidance, b. Carry out supporting activities: grouping activities through communication Case handling, home visit. 3. Obstacles faced by classroom teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling are a. lack of understanding and skills possessed by classroom teachers, b. the heavy burden of class teachers, c. lack of interest of learners, d) lack of support from parents of parents. 4) The efforts of classroom teachers in facing the obstacles of the implementation of Guidance and Counseling through: a. Increasing insights by reading books on guidance and counseling, which is reading books Guidance and Counseling, b. Communicate actively with parents, c) follow parenting about the management of children.
