Abstract

Abstract Character-based character education management model within SMPIT Al Huda Wonogiri Boarding School. Thesis. Graduate program. Muhammadiyah Surakarta university. 2017. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) Character education planning at Boarding School SMP IT Al Huda Wonogiri. (2) Implementation of character education at Boarding School SMP IT Al Huda Wonogiri. (3) Implementation of character education evaluation at Boarding School SMP IT Al Huda Wonogiri. Methods of research include: The type of research used is qualitative research with ethnographic research approach, the researcher tries to understand related to the model of character-based character education management within SMPIT Al Huda Wonogiri Boarding School. Data collection techniques are used with documentation, observation, and interviews Deputy headmaster of the school, head of the boarding school, vice principal of the curriculum, vice principal of student affairs, vice principal of public relations, santri to know the model of character-based character education management within SMPIT Al Huda Wonogiri Boarding School. Data analysis techniques used by using flow Model, the researcher conducts data reduction, in the form of note and data presentation, in the form of note from place of research consisting of description and reflection part. The result of data collection and reduction and data presentation so that the meaning of the event becomes clearer to understand. The results of research include character education planning that is integrated in the learning that is with the addition of syllabus and Learning Plan, the implementation of character education is applied during the daily activities of santri students from waking up to sleep again, and evaluation of character education in SMPIT Al Huda Wonogiri boarding school that can be seen from Behavior change in each of the santrinya moments before they do boarding with after they are boarding in the next few months. It is necessary to improve the facilities and infrastructure in supporting the success of character education in schools.
