Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe: 1) what soft skills factor in the most dominant thesis preparation in the student of Accounting Education Program class of 2013 FKIP UMS who have taken the course of Educational Research in 2016 ?, 2) The influence of the experience of writing scientific papers (KTI ) To soft skills in the preparation of the thesis, 3) The influence of learning achievement / IPK on soft skills in the preparation of the thesis, 4) The influence of the experience of writing scientific papers (KTI) and learning achievement / IPK on soft skills in the preparation of thesis. The type of research is quantitative research with survey method, the conclusion of the research obtained based on statistical results, where the results are presented in the form of numbers. Population is a student of Accounting Education program class of 2013 FKIP UMS who has taken the subject of Education Research academic year 2015/2016 a total of 164 with sample 113 students. Sampling using random sampling technique by proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The questionnaire method has been tested with validity test and reliability test. Data analysis techniques used quantitative analysis with percentage, multiple regression, t test, F test, effective contribution (SE) and relative contribution (SR). The result of research using regression analysis obtained by regression equation: Y = 184,555 + 0,793X1 + 0,227X2 + e. The result of this research concludes: 1) soft skills factor in preparing the most dominant thesis influenced by soft skills ethics, moral and professional 26,5%, 2) t test of experience of writing scientific paper / KTI (b1) there is influence to soft skill in preparation of thesis obtained tcount> ttable, that is 4,096> 1,983 and sig value.<0,05, that is 0,000 with SE 13,29% and SR 99,91%; 3) t test on learning achievement / IPK (b2) no effect on soft skills in the preparation of thesis obtained tcount < ttabel, that is 0,058 <1,983 and Sig value. > 0,05, that is 0,954 with SE 0,012% and SR 0,0901%, 4) Based on test F known value Fcount>Ftable that is, 8,420>3,08 with significance value < 0,05 that is 0,000 and experience writing scientific paper And learning achievement / GPA simultaneously there is influence on soft skills in the preparation of 13,3% thesis and the remaining 86,7% influenced by other variables that are not examined.
