Abstract

Market is a place where seller and buyer met. Nowadays people recognize 2 type of markets, wich are Modern Market and Traditional Market. Availability of access for difabel people in Nusukan Market was really minimal. Another issue is the security of parking lot in front of it. The use of corridor in Nusukan Market as a bargaining area for seller that don’t have a stall became a problem too. There’s so many leakage in the building when raining. It means that we need to change or improve the Nusukan Market design. The design reference to improve the Nusukan Market are like Beringharjo Market, Santa Caterina Market, and Covered Market in Oxford. The purpose of this redesign are to make Nusukan Market stand out and be competitive, to make the Nusukan Market to be more modern, pedestrian design that could be a supportive economical space, and to make Nusukan Market to be more accessible for difabel people.
