Abstract
Red cabbage (Brassica oleraceae var. capitataL) is one of medicinal plant containing flavonoid compound and isothiocyanate glycosides and having antiplatelet activity. It is made in to tablet to make it high and easy, in use, comfort, and obedience. This research aims to know the ratio influence of the PVP and sodium alginate use towards the red cabbage extract physical characteristic tablet which can form tablet stockpile with optimum physical characteristic. The production of red cabbage extract tablet formula is done by optimizing simplex lattice design model method, with PVP and sodium alginat composition ratio for FI (1%:7%), FII (2%:6%), FIII (3%:5%), FIV (4%:4%), FV (5%:3%). Granules are tested in angle of respone, flow rate an tapped density. Tablets tested weight uniformity, hardness, friablity and disentegration time. The verification result is compared with prediction result and analyzed with IBM SPSS 21 program using one sample t-test with 95% trust level. Optimization occurs in 0,621 optimum point area with PVP and sodium alginate ratio (2,8 : 5,19)%. The statistic test shows that there is no significant difference the angle of repose test parameter, tapping, hardness, uniformity of weight, friability, and desintegration time, so the data are valid. The significant difference occurs in flow rate test parameter. However the data are valid because the data’s verification in flow rate parameter are eligible.
