Abstract

Tanduk village is one of the villages in Ampel sub-district, Boyolali district which has high diversity potency of flora. One such potential is as a batik natural dye. Natural dyes are dyes derived from nature such as minerals, animals, and plants. The purpose of this study is to know the types of plants that have the potential as a natural dye batik and know the organs of plants used as a natural dye batik in the village of Tanduk, District Ampel, Boyolali District. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis technique and quantitative descriptive with purposive random sampling method. The results of this study are found 17 species of plants that potentially as a natural dye batik belonging to 15 different families. Parts of organs that are used as a natural dye batik namely leaves, stems, roots, tubers, flowers, fruit, and midrib.
