Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of collateral when there are the problem on financing, some of the principal issues such as how the process of guarantee assurance in BMT TUMANG against collateral as a condition of financing and how the role of guarantee in solving problems on problematic financing in BMT TUMANG. This problematic financing will have a negative impact if the BMT does not immediately resolve it. BBMT can perform rescue financing problem firstly by restructuring (second way out) and if it does not find the result then the last thing that is withdrawal guarantee. The Researcher used field research (field research) as her Research Method, the research had to directly come to the field or to place which become the object of research (BMT Tumang cab Delanggu). This research is focused to trace and study the material that exist in field and relevant to problem which is raised. The nature of the research used is research that is the descriptions of the research that describes the problems that exist in BMT Tumang of Delanggu and further analyze it based on research and literature that are relevant and serves to get the conclusions of the problems discussed in BMT TUMANG of Delanggu. Research results indicate that the Guarantees in BMT TUMANG Delanggu before being imposed or in the appraisal by BMT firstly done plotting to find the data or the state of the actual guarantee. The role of collateral in the settlement of nonperforming financing in BMT TUMANG is on the settlement of non-performing financing by way of second way out. Before it does the second way out, firstly BMT TUMANG do first way out. First way out is done by Rescheduling (rescheduling), then by doing Reconditioning and Restructuring. The sale of this guarantee is the last step done by BMT in financing the problem For BMT TUMANG prior to the sale of collateral, BMT perform various ways such as conducting a discussion to find a the way out. BMT offers first to the debtor whether the sale of collateral is done by BMT or by the debtor itself. If the customer submits to BMT to sell the guarantee, the BMT will either sell the guarantee or invite the customer to sell the guarantee itself.
