Abstract

This study aims to explore the class struggle of the major character on her personality. The objectives of the research are to analyze the movie based on its structural elements and to analyze the major character based on Marxist perspective. The researcher employs a qualitative method. In this method, the researcher uses two data sources, namely primary and secondary data sources. The primary data source is the movie itself. The secondary data sources are the books about Marxist and the other sources such as internet. The method of data collection is library research and the technique of data collection is descriptive technique. The results of this study show that, firstly, it describes how class struggle reflects on the major character’s personalities. Secondly, the Marxist analysis shows that human will be motivated to attain his class struggle after satisfying the lower needs (basic needs). Finally, a person will be motivated to develop of his potential.
