Abstract

The existence of groundwater are scattered in an area depends on the determinants of the potential for groundwater recharge. The source of water comes from surface water and groundwater to meet the needs of clean water needs to recognize the potential of seepage. Along with the population rate and the increasing need for clean water, it is necessary to do a study evaluating the mapping and spatial analysis of groundwater recharge potential by using geographic information systems. This study aims to: 1) analyze the shareable spatial potential of recharge of groundwater by using Geographic Information System (GIS), 2) calculate the water needs of the domestic total in Cilongok Subdistrict, and 3) to analyze the characteristics of the region that lead to differences in the zones needs of domestic water in Cilongok Subdistrict. The method used in this study is a survey method to determine the amount of domestic water needs. Surveying the needs of domestic water sampling conducted by purposive sampling method. The sampling by residents who have dug well of from groundwater to meet their daily needs. The number of respondents as many as 99 families (KK). There are three classes of high grade, medium grade and low grade of the analysis results of groundwater recharge potential in Cilongok Subdistrict. The size of distribution of groundwater recharge areas of potential high grade is 34.79 km2 or 25.87%, medium grade is 76.65 km2 or 57.01%, and the lower class is 23.00 km2 or 17.11%. The high potential catchment zone has an average domestic water demand of 105.1 liters / person / day, while the largest is the medium potential zone of 112.39 liters / person / day. The average domestic water demand in low potential zones is 108.4 liters / person / day. The amount of water consumption per capita is not the same from one place to another place. This is influenced by water availability in each region, so that the water availability in each region will influence the behavior of people in the household needs.
