Abstract
Indonesia have double burden of nutrition problems, malnutrion and obesity. Nutrition status among adults is dominated by obesity problem. Obesity is a major proponent of degenerative diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Factors causing obesity consists of the body and outside the body as overeating, wrong diet, excessive consumption of fatty foods, lack of physical activity and genetic factors and the environment. To determine the relationship of fat consumption habits, physical activity on the incidence of obesity in Employees Faculty, State University of Yogyakarta. The study was observational with cross sectional approach (cross-sectional). Large sample of 48 people who fit the inclusion criteria and were selected with random sampling system. The data obtained from the nutritional status Body mass index, fat consumption habits of data collected from interviews using a semiquantitative FFQ questionnaire while physical activity data obtained by interview using a questionnaire of the International ysical Activity Quistionnaire (IPAQ).The statistical test used was Spearman Rank. Results showed 50% of respondents have itional status of obesity. Excessive fat consumption habits amounted to 47.9%. Physical activity most of the respondents have moderate physical activity by 75%. There is lationship between fat consumption habits with nutritional status. value of p = 0.00. There was a significant correlation with the value of p = 0.001 (that was significant relationship between physical activity with nutritional status.
