Abstract
Background: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a collection of symptoms and signs due to suppression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel, precisely under the flexor retinaculum. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused by excessive hand use with repetitive stress, twisting of the wrist and the use of vibrating devices.Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is caused by excessive use of the hands to repeated stress, the twist of the wrist and the use of tools that vibrate. Aims of reseach: To find out the benefits of therapy TENS and nerve mobilization can reduce pain, increase range of motion, increase muscle strength and improve functional activity in the case of CTS bilateral. Result: After treatment for 5 times the results obtained impairment silent pain dextra: T0: 4.5 to T5: 2, tenderness dextra T0: 4.9 to T5: 2.7, painful motion dextra: T0: 5.1 to T5: 2,8, obtained impairment silent pain sinistra: T0: 2.2 to T5: 0, tenderness sinistra T0: 2.6 to T5: 1, painful motion sinistra: T0: 2.9 to T5: 1.5, increased range of motion wrist actively dextra sagittal plane: T0: S: 60°-0°-50° to T5: 65°-0°-75°, increased range of motion wrist actively sinistra sagittal plane: T0: S: 65°-0°-75° to T5: 70°-0°-80°, an increase in muscle strength and functional activity. Conclusion: Trancutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and nerve mobilization can reduce pain, increase range of motion, increase muscle strength and improve functional activity in the case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome bilateral.
