Abstract
This study aims to analyze the form and function of speech acts directive used by teachers in the learning process of Indonesian language. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Sources of data in this study are the teacher's speech at the time of learning process in Indonesia took place. Techniques of data collection in research using techniques refer, recording techniques, and defect techniques. The results of research on the learning process of Indonesian language show that the use of the form of speech directive command and command orders more widely used, when compared with the use of other forms and functions. This can be seen in the description of research results that show that the form of command and function has more dominant use with the number of 48 speeches from the number of 93 speech directive. The forms of speech acts found in the directive include, orders, solicitation, requests, advice, criticism, and prohibitions. The functions of the directive speech acts encountered include the functions of: commanding, ordering, instructing, requiring, coercing, persuading, seducing, encouraging, asking, advising, suggesting, appealing, directing, calling, rebuking, criticizing, cursing, criticizing, prohibiting, and preventing.
