Abstract

The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the form of subordinating conjunctions in the discourse of politics newspaper compass edition of March 2017, (2) Describe the classification of the meaning of subordinating discourse Politics newspaper compass edition of March 2017, (3) Describe the implications for the classification of the meaning of subordinating conjunctions in discourse Political newspaper compass on learning Indonesian in high school. This method uses qualitative descriptive method. Technique of collecting data is done that is method of refer to, record method and library technique. The method used in analyzing data that is method of padan and method of agih. The technique of data validity using triangulation. The results of the analysis in this study was found data showing subordinating conjunctions contained in the political discourse compass newspaper March edition of 2017. These results have implications for the Indonesian language learning in high school class XI to the basic competence 3.3 Analyzing the text of the short story poem, story repeated, ekplanasi Complex, and film / drama both through oral and written.
