Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know the contribution about Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) type on the National Examination (UN) Economy of SMA / MA level year 2014-2016 and to know the development and comparison of the National Examination (UN) Economic level SMA / MA from 2014-2016 in terms of the proportion of HOTS..This study was analysed based on the characteristics of the stimulus, critical thinking and creative thinking. The type of this research is descriptive with content analysis type or document with qualitative method. The subject of this research are two economic teachers which experts in the field of luation..The data collection of this research derived from documentation and interview.Test data validity in this research using by technique of triangulation of source and technique of triangulation method. The results of this study indicated that the National Examination’s perspective HOTS in 2014 was (32.5%), the National Exam in 2015 was (32.5%) and the National Examination 2016 was (37,5%). So that 2 according to the percentage of the national exam in 2014 and 2015 did not increase the number of items that included HOTS, while in 2016 increased the number of items about HOTS that is equal to 37.5%.
