Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, taste value, and implications of dysphemia use in the sports discourse of Kompas newspaper as the teaching material of Indonesian in SMA/SMK. This type of research is descriptive qualitative data derived from the sports discourse Kompas newspaper March 2017. Methods of data collection using the method refer and record. Data analysis in this research use referential pad method, pragmatic pad, and HBS equivalent. The technique of data validity used in this research is triangulation theory.The result of this study indicate (1) the use of dysphemia in the sport discourse Kompas newspaper March 2017 edition is grouped into three. Words, such as subjugate, strikes, crushing. Phrases, such as bending Villarreal, crawl up, bundling Ecuador. Expressions, such as scapegoats. (2) The taste value contained in the sports discourse of Kompas Newspaper March 2017 edition is, a) creepy, such as snatching, grinding, grabbing, b) horrible, such as break, subvert, quashing, c) frightening, such as a curse, buried, d) disgusting, such as porous, caged, sluggish, e) fierce, such as brats, strikes, breaking, f) rude or impolite, such as missed, tried, stutter. (3) The results of this study have implications for learning Indonesian in SMA/SMK class XII uneven semester on basic competence 3.3 analyze the text of history, news, advertisement, editorial/opinion, and fiction story in novel either through oral and written.
