Abstract

The objectives of this study to know the difference of activity and result of student learning on economic subject between PBL learning model with Jigsaw learning model at student of class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura academic year 2016/2017. This research method is experimental research with research design that used true experimental design. Population in this research is student of class XI IPS number 170 student. Samples are taken from two classes, class XI IPS 2 (experimental class) and class XI IPS 3 (control class). Sampling technique in this research is random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of documentation, participatory observation methods, and test methods. Data analysis technique used is independent sample t test. The learning material used in this research is the accounting equation. The results of data analysis and discussion can be concluded that 1) There are differences in student activity and learning achievements on economic subjects between PBL learning model with Jigsaw learning model in grade XI IPS students SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura academic year 2016/2017 (this is proven based on data analysis the results of research with independent sample t obtained t count> t table, that is 1.718> 1.67 and 1.871> 1.67 with the difference of average or mean both groups of 0.850 and 6.275 it can be concluded Horejected.It is evidenced by the class Using the PBL learning model has an average percentage of activity of 60% and the average of 83.3 higher learning achievements than the class using the jigsaw learning model has an average percentage of activity of 56% and the average learning achievement of 77.06.
