Abstract

Dwi Wahyu Mustikasari/ A310130074. HARD WORK AND HONEST CHARACTER IN THE INDONESIA TEXT BOOK FOR ELEVENTH GRADE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. Essay. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universty of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Mai, 2017. Character Education is important to be applied in the school either during learning process or in the students’ daily lives. Character education can be published through the books which become students’ guide. This research aims to analyze hard work character content which contained in the Indonesian text book for Eleventh grade of Senior High School. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data which are used in this research using the Indonesian text book for Elevent grade of Senior High School. The method of collecting data in this research is study documentation technique. Analysis data technique that used in this research is contents analysis. The result shows that hard work character contents which contained in the Indonesian text book for Elevent grade of Senior High School are 81 data. The text which contains hard work character are introduction text, short story, biographical text, and review text. Introduction text is a text which contains the most character. Literatur text is a text which contains many hard work characters. The result shows thathonest character contens which contained in the Indonesian text book for Elevent grade of Senior High School are 17 data. The text which contains honest character is shor story. Literature text is a text which contains honest character.
