Abstract
Institute of tutoring outside of school many encouraging students to improve learning achievement and overcoming learning difficulties. There are 2 types of tutoring Smart Centre Boyolali ie classical tutoring and private tutoring. This study aims to determine the differences in learning outcomes IPA junior high school students who follow the guidance of classical learning with mentoring students private lessons in Boyolali. The population in this study are all junior high school students who follow tutoring Smart Centre Boyolali. The sample in this study is a junior high school students who follow the guidance of classical learning as many as 65 students and private tutoring as many as 13 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The method used is observation, interviews and learning outcomes documentation in the form of the first semester report cards value research type is ex post facto. The results were obtained from the statistical analysis Mann Whitney U Test with Sig 0.759>0.05, which means that the naught hypothesis H0 is received and H1 rejected, then there is no difference between the results of junior high school students learn science mentoring students classical learning with mentoring students private lessons.
