Abstract

The objectives of the research are to describe: 1) the science’s learning media planning; 2) the science’s learning media organizing and actuation; 3) the science’s learning media maintenance; and 4) the supporting and inhibiting factors of the science’s learning media management at SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten No. 58 Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta Municipality. The type of the research is a qualitative research. The design of the researh is ethnographical design. The research was undertaken at SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten No. 58 Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta Municipality. The data collecting method is done using observation, in-depth interview, and document techniques. The data analysis is done using interactive model consists of three main components, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. The research concludes that: 1) the science’s learning media planning was initiated by the proposal construction to be proposed to the local government and educational bureau; 2) the science’s learning media organizing and actuation has been done optimally. The learning media utilization is done to support student’s competence exploration, namely as students’ creativity and innovation tools; 3) the science’s learning media maintenance is done depend on the type of media. It is done by specified teacher authorized to manage the learning media; and 4) the supporting factors of the science’s learning media management at SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten No. 58 Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta Municipality is the support of local government. Whereas the inhibiting factors of the science’s learning media management at SD Negeri Dukuhan Kerten No. 58 Laweyan Sub District of Surakarta Municipality are financial factors and teacher factors.
