Abstract

Bullying in children is regarded as an early form of violence that occurs in adolescence and it is a form of behavioral disorders. The phenomenon of bullying seems to be an iceberg, it seems small on the surface but it saves millions of big problems.Bullying in schools is a problem behavior among adolescents, which is very influential on school performance, pro social skills, and psychological wellbeing for victims and perpetrators.Resilience is the ability of the individual and with the ability of individuals to survive and grow positively in an unfortunate situation, and thus, the individual is able to bounce back from setbacks. The purpose of this study is to investigate any bullying behavior that is acceptable, how bullying incident that could happen, what factors make the subject last, and the impact of treatment of bullying experienced by the subject. This study uses a qualitative method of phenomenology, method of data collection with semi-structured interviews and frank observation or disguised. Subjects were six students one of the first secondary school in the city of Surakarta who gets the bullying behavior of a school friend. From the results of data analysis and interviews observation, the result shows that the sixth subject of bullying victims are individuals who are resilient. The subject faces the problems caused by bullying treatment. Resilience emphasizes the individual's ability to confront the problems and pressures they experienced effectively. Based on the sources of resilience, it can be seen that I’m is a source of encouragement from the inside, the source I'haveis the encouragement from the outside or the environment, and the source of I'canis the individual's ability to cope with the problem. The three factors make the individuals or victims of bullying become resilient.
