Abstract

Alqur’an including written discourse as embodied in the form of writing. Even though, discourse inside Alqur’an is oral language that embodied in the form of writing. Clause is one of the grammatical consists of subject and redicate, either accompanied with an object, complement, and adverb or not. Clause is a syntactic which is above the phrase unit and under the unit of sentence, is be a sequence of words predicative constructed. The aim of this research is to analyze clause in the Alqur’an of the Maryam epistle and content in the texts of translation of Alqur’an of the Maryam epistle. This is a kind of research of qualitative research and data collection is using observation method (metodesimak) with the basic technique is tapping technique, and continuance of this technique of this observation method applied in this research is writing technique. Validity of data technique is using four triangulation techniques are source triangulation, method, investigator, and theory triangulation while the data analysis technique is using Comparing Technique TeknikPadan). The result of this research showed that all of the paragraph in the epistle was containing clause. Based on the analysis, clause functional structure has been found is five clauses, PSO is seven clauses, S-P-Adverb is 99 clauses, and the function of P is 11 clauses
