Abstract
Concrete is a mixture of cement, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, water and could also be given the added material that varies on a certain percentage or replaced from the binder material is cement replaced with fly ash from coal combustion. Fly ash material in the manufacture of concrete may react chemically with alkaline liquid at a specific temperature to form a mixture of materials such as cement-owned properties. In rigid pavement, which was very influential in determining the pavement structure strength to bear the burden of traffic is the strength of the concrete itself. The strength of the land base is only a small effect on the carrying capacity of the structural strength of rigid pavement. The present study is to compare the compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength sides Geopolymer concrete with normal concrete that is using the ratio variation Geopolymer concrete 3: 2, 4: 2, 5: 2. Geopolymer concrete mix design refers to previous studies, and normal concrete using the method of ACI with a compressive strength of 20 MPa plan. Number of test specimens included 24 cylinders with a diameter of 15cm, 30cm high and 12 pieces of beams with a length of 60cm, width 10cm, height 20cm. So overall total cylindrical test specimen and the beam that is 36 pieces. The test results showed Geopolymer concrete is superior to normal concrete on the variation to 5: 2. In testing the compressive strength, compressive strength test data that is on Geopolymer concrete variation of 3: 2 was 11.883 MPa, the variation of 4: 2 is 18.825 MPa, the variation of 5: 2 was 21.314 MPa, and the concrete is normally 18.862 MPa. Then the split tensile strength testing, tensile test data split on Geopolymer concrete variation of 3: 2 was 6.311 MPa, the variation of 4: 2 is 6,785 MPa, the variations of 5: 2 was 7.215 MPa and 7.096 MPa normal concrete. Later on testing flexural strength, flexural strength test data on Geopolymer concrete variation of 3: 2 was 3.843 MPa, the variation of 4: 2 is 6.303 MPa, the variations of 5: 2 was 8.003 MPa and 4.835 MPa normal concrete. Geopolymer concrete quality can be concluded more concrete above normal variations to 5: 2. Although it has its drawbacks and less economical than normal concrete.
