Abstract

Wireless technology is the development of technology that is needed currently given the technological advances in electronic devices very rapidly. Every electronic devices certainly require electric power and cable as the conductor. Therefore, if there is a tool that can transfer electric power without wires, it would be more easy for the user to use the electronic devices. The purpose of this research is to make a series of prototype electric power transfer without wires. The method used such as literature studies, data gathering, device design, tool-making, then testing using 16 volt DC power supply / 1.2 Ampere. Transmitter coil use a copper pipe with a cross sectional area of 28.26 mm2. While the receiver coil use the same copper to the transmitter with the cross-sectional area 28.26 mm2, which compared to copper coil cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm2 and 2.5 mm2 at a distance of 2-20 cm. The test results showed the receiver coil sectional area of 2.5 mm2 are better, able to receive a maximum power of 1.36 watts and the farthest distance of 12 cm and a receiver coil cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm2 able to receive a maximum power of 0.67 watts and the farthest distance of 12 cm. While the receiver coil similar to the transmitter with the cross sectional area of 28.26 mm2 can only accept a maximum power of 0.32 watts and a maximum distance of 8 cm.
