Abstract
ABSTRACT Elly Desiyana Irawati / A 510120070. ROLE OF PARENTS ATTENTION ANDThis study is aimed to determine the contribution of the role of parent’s attention and independent learning toward student achievement of their students high class in SDN Guworejo 3 school years 2015/2016. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research used statistic analytic method. The subjects were students in grade 4, 5 and 6 of SDN Guworejo 3 total 81 students. The data obtained by using sampling sistematis technique on 40 students. The data obtained by using questionnaire, documentation and interviews. The data were analyzed by using multiple linier regression, t test, F test, Coefficient of Determination, SR and SE which firstly proceeded by prerequisite analysis of normality and linearity test. The results based on multiple linier regression obtained that Y = 10,987 + 0,411X1 + 0,345X 2 . The data analysis result showed significant level 5% gained: (1)parent’s attention has high influence toward student’s achievement. The result based on t test,known that tcount > ttable , is 2,024 and 2,763 > <significance value of 0.05 is 0.009 with the relative contribution of 57% and the effective contribution of 20.7 %. (2)Independence of learning has influence toward student achievement. Based on t test known that that tcount > ttable , is 2,024 and 2,253 > < significance value of 0.05 is 0,030 with a relative contribution of 43% and the effective contribution of 15.4 %. (3) Parent’s attention and the independence of learning has high influence toward student’s achievement. Based on F test known that Fcount > Ftable is 10.430 > < significance value of 3.23 and 0.05 is 0.000. Based on the coefficient determination calculation known that the influence of parent’s attention and independence of learning together on student achievement contributed 36.1 %, while 63.9 % is influenced by other variables which are not examined.
