Abstract
This study aims to improve motivation and learning outcomes IPS trought the application of audio visual media such as video on fifth grade students of SDN 01 Macanan year 2015/2016. The subjects of research that teachers fifth grade and fifth grade students of SDN 01 Macanan year 2015/2016 a number of 29 students. This research is a class act. The experiment was conducted during two cycles or four meetings. Collecting data throught interviews, observation, testing and documentation. As for validity of the data using triangulation techniques and content validity. Data analysis process includes planning, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.The result showed an increase of motivation and learning outcomes. Enhancement of motivation to learn can be shown on the indicators include: 1) Enthusiastic learning incresead from 41,37% (pre cycle), 62,07% (the first cycle of meeting 1), 65,52%(the fisrt cycle of meeting 2), 72, 41% (cycle II of meeting 1), 86,21% (cycle II meeting 2). 2) Ductile face difficulties increased from 41,37% (pre cycle), 62,07%(the first cycle meeting 1), 65,52% (the first cycle meeting 2), 75,86% (cycle II meeting 1), 82,76% (cycle II meeting 2). 3) Persistence working increase of 44,82% (pre cycle), 65,52% ( cycle I meeting 1), 68,96 ( cycle I meeting 2), 75,86% ( cycle II meeting 1), 86,21% (cycle II meeting 2). 4) The interest to study increased from 44,82% (pre cycle), 68,96% (cycle I meeting 1), 72,41% (cycle I meeting 2), 75,86% (cycle 2 meeting 1), 82,76% (cycle II meeting 2). 5) Attention studied increased from 44, 82% (pre cycle), 68,96% (cycle I meeting 1), 75,86% (cycle I meeting 2), 79,31 % ( cycle II meeting 1), 86,21% (cycle II meeting 2). 6) Creating of conducive learning environment increased from 51,72% (pre cycle), 75,86% (cycle I meeting 1), 82,76% (cycle I meeting 2), 86,21% ( cycle II meeting 1), 93,10% (cycle II meeting 2). While the learning outcomes increased from 37,93% (pre cycle), 72,41% (first cycle) to 86,21% (cycle II). The conclusion of this study is throught the application of audio visual media such as video can improve motivation and learning outcomes IPS fifth grade students of SDN 01 Macanan year 2015/2016.
