Abstract
This study aimed to determine the relationship of authoritarian parenting and intensity of playing games online with bullying behaviors in adolescents in school. The subjects were students of SMP Negeri 1 Candimulyo which amounts to 513 students with a sample of 100 students. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire with Likert scale scoring system based on the characteristics of authoritarian parenting, namely: control, dominance, communication, care or education and discipline. Aspects of playing online games consist of frequency, duration, full attention and emotion. Questionnaires for bullying behavior using the verbal aspects of oppression, physical oppression and psychological oppression. Methods of data analysis using multiple regression analysis with SPSS version 17. The conclusion shows that together there is a significant relationship between authoritarian parenting and intensity of playing online games against bullying on students of SMP Negeri 1 Candimulyo Magelang regency. This means that authoritarian parenting and intensity of playing online games will affect the level of bullying of students, so that authoritarian parenting and intensity of playing online games contribute to the tendency of students bullying behavior. Effective contribution given by the intensity of playing online games is greater than the authoritarian parenting. It can be concluded that the hypothesis that there is a relationship authoritarian parenting and intensity of playing games online with student bullying behavior is acceptable. Effective contribution to the authoritarian parenting bullying behavior can be by 31.2%, while the intensity of online games against bullying can be as big as 33.6%. Effective contribution authoritarian parenting variables and intensity of playing online games against bullying at 51.5%. Means that there are still 48.5% of other variables that influence bullying behavior.
