Abstract

The job of nurse within give nursing service is also related with the disposition of work hours which is well known as hours shift. Stress of work is the situation which usually appear in the interaction between the human and the job itself. Occupational stress is a condition that arise in interaction among people with research is aimed at work. This reaserch aim to know the difference of hours shift effect to stress level caused by the job of nurse in intensive Care Unit (ICU) RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This research uses analytic observasional method with cross sectional approach. The population in this research is nurses which active in the morning shift, afternoon shift and night shift in intensive Care Unit (ICU) RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta 20 nurses. Sampling technique uses total sampling. Analysis of using Annova shows that there is no difference of hours shift with stress level caused by nursing work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) room RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta p value = 0.79 the valuable is not significant and the highest mean on morning shift of 1.6. Nurse have to apply health life model, in other hand to know stress indicate as soon as a preventive when the stress appear.
