Abstract
In this research is generally pusposed to describe the the realization of library management in The State Vocational High School of 2 Wonogiri as an effective school. The focus of the research is the things related to the School Library Information System- Management include 1) characteristics of borrowing and returning system of school library’s book, 2) characteristics of reference service, 3) characteristics of school library design. The research is qualitative with ethnography design. The site of the research is The State Vocational High School of 2 Wonogiri as an effective school. The sources of data are taken from informants, events and documents. The informants of this research are the head master, the librarian and the teachers who manage the school library of The State Vocational High School of 2 Wonogiri. The events of this research is the process of activities in the library. Meanwhile, the documents intended the research are the documents related to the School Library Information System- Management. The collected data is analyzed with the interactive model of analysis which includes the data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. In the implementation of library information system at The State Vocational High School of 2 Wonogiri as an effective school showed that; 1) In the process of borrowing service system by filling in the book loan service visit, then searching for the book, clerking of books on loan card and return books by recording the return, and return books to the bookshelf. By good cooperation among librarians and users, the service information which is provided in the library can run well and satisfactory, 2) In the reference service, the borrower can not find the books they want immediately, but he must order it through the librarian first. Reference service is intended only in a limited number of library collections. 3) In the arrangement of the school library is prioritizing concept of comfort, cleanliness and beauty in order it can make the user feel comfort as well as at home, and And it applied the interior concept of maximalism for effectiveness, efficiency, and artistic. And it’s needed to apply an artistic concept by decorating each place in order the visitors feel comfortable to stay in the school library and they’re well motivated to visit the library.
